One of the things on my to-do list has been to make homemade potato chips for some time now. When I was growing up, my mom and I would use a deep fryer and make our own extra greasy chips, but this time around I decided to use the oven for a different effect. Keep in mind that the following recipe is for plain, salted chips. You can also add vinegar or mix spices to flavour your chips!
The cheapest potatoes you can find will do just fine!
I’m sure that most would choose to leave the peel on, but i’m extra picky!
Slice as thinly as you can.
Place potato slices on a baking sheet covered in tin foil and lightly sprayed with cooking spray. Add another thin layer of spray on top of the chips and sprinkle with salt.
Bake at 400 degrees until golden brown (or until they’ve reached desired crispiness). Place in a bowl with some paper towel to soak up extra grease, and sprinkle with extra salt!
