One of the best feelings in the world is checking the mail to see a package of products just waiting to be tested. I received my very first PR box “Spring into Summer 2018” from FarleyCo. marketing and was so excited to test all of their brands. Check out the 6 products I tried and my thoughts on each below:
Review Key: Horrible, Not Good, Just OK, Good, Great, Amazing
1. MesmorEyes Collections (405 – Almond) – Good
I’ve discussed here before that I’m not huge on false lashes. My natural eyelashes are fairly long, so I’ve never had a need for them. I enjoy that the package comes with a day, a play, and a night lash. Having volume options is perfect considering you never know what works for you until you put them on. I was shocked at how soft and luxurious these lashes felt, considering they’re synthetic. The price point is fantastic, but my one complaint is that the package does not include lash glue.
This product is available on amazon.ca for $12.99 CAD and select Pharmasave, Guardian IDA,
Value Drug Mart stores.
2. BeautyLash Tinting Kit for Brows and Lashes (Black) – Great
First of all, I wish I had taken photos of this process. Next time I do an application, I’ll post on Instagram. This product scared me so much! I wasn’t too sure about tinting my eyebrows, but it was a really fast and easy process. The difference wasn’t too dramatic, but I loved the way it worked on my lashes. The kit contains enough for 8 applications and the instructions are super easy to follow. I should also note that this product is plant-based and didn’t hurt my skin at all. I wish the price point was a little lower, but it does work well for an at home option.
This product is available on amazon.ca for $34.99 CAD, at select Pharmasave, IDA, Guardian, Save-on-Foods, and Pharma Choice stores.
3. EcoTools Mask Mate – Amazing
I had no idea how much I needed this set until I tried it out. The brush is perfectly sized and extremely soft. I do masks very frequently and hate taking them off. I always make a mess and stain my washcloths, so the removal sponges were a revelation for me. These little sponges have the perfect texture to remove all mask remnants while gently exfoliating the skin. They wash clean easily and feel so nice on the skin! The price point on this product is perfect considering you get 3 sponges. I’m a fan!
This product is available at select Rexall, Pharma Plus, Pharmasave, London Drugs, Guardian IDA,
Lawtons Drugs, Proxim, Brunet, Familiprix, Uniprix, and Value Drugs stores.
4. 7th Heaven Masques – Great
I’ve been using 7th heaven masks for years and still love them. These are some of the best budget friendly masks out there. The charcoal mask was delightful and left my skin feeling so clean. Neither of these masks made me breakout or left me with any redness, so they get a thumbs up.
These products are available at several Canadian stores including Rexall PharmaPlus , Pharmasave, Brunet, Proxim, Jean Coutu, Lawtons Drugs, and others!
5. Purple Tree Shea Butter Miracle Balm – Just OK
This is a new product that uses shea butter to serve multiple purposes such as relief from dry skin and taming eyebrows. Personally, I’ve been using the product on my lips and as cuticle cream. The formula is a tad greasy for me to want to use on my eyebrows or lashes, but it feels really nice on the lips and hands. I haven’t tried this product as much as I would like, so I’ll keep testing it out!
This product sells for around $6.99 CAD and is available at select Rexall Pharma Plus, London Drugs, Pharmasave, Lawtons Drugs and Save-on-Foods, IDA, and Guardian stores.
6. Modele Plump Lip Treatment – Not Good
This product stood out to me right away. As someone who has super tiny lips, I’ve always wanted to try a plumper. I started using it every morning about a month ago. The formula is great – it goes on smooth and feels super nourishing on the lips. Unfortunately, after all this time I don’t see any difference at all. My “Not Good” review is simply based on my lack of results. For the price, I wouldn’t purchase this again. If this product worked for you, let me know!
This product sells for $29.99 CAD in select Rexall Pharma Plus, Pharmasave, Guardian IDA,
Jean Coutu, Familiprix and Brunet stores.
