Watching
The Bold Type and Younger are two very similar shows, both of which I love. Are You The One just started again, and I’m still watching The Challenge and Real Housewives. I also recently started Good Girls on Netflix. It’s sooo good, especially being from the Windsor/Detroit area.
Listening To
Ariana’s new album Sweetener is giving me life right now and I’m trying to figure out if I like Nicki’s new album Queen. As for songs, Spotify recently suggested Feel About You by Aislin Evans and I fell in love.
Eating
For a second there, I thought about trying to give up carbs. But here’s the thing – I know myself, and I know it’s not logical for me to think I’ll be able to maintain a life without my favourite foods. Right now I’m just focusing on being more consistent with food.
I did recently rediscover a love for hard boiled eggs, and also this sugar free pumpkin spice creamer!
Shopping For
School supplies. The kids have their backpacks (Hollys blue tie dye backpack and CJ’s John Deere tractor backpack) and now we just have to pick up shoes. Are you someone who buys months in advance, or are you more of a last minute person?
Doing
We’ve been working crazy hard at moving gravel to different areas of our yard in hopes to clean it up, and honestly it’s exhausting. I’ve also been trying to declutter, but I’m not good at it. I have such an issue getting rid of things (I may or may not be a hoarder…).
Thinking
A lot about my parenting. We’ve been going through a real struggle with our youngest, CJ. As a Scorpio child, he’s extremely defiant. Between daycare and activities, we can’t seem to get him engaged. Every time I drop him off or bring him to participate, he throws a fit and doesn’t want to leave my side. It’s been emotionally draining and I’m terrified about what will happen when he starts school in 3 weeks. Wish me luck!
Planning
This weekend my husband and I are headed to Niagara Falls for a little get away. After a crazy summer and a scary upcoming transition, we need it. Other than that, my 28th birthday is coming fast! We probably won’t do anything exciting, but it’s still nice to plan something easy.
What are you up to this month?
