We’re about to wrap up 2018 – can you believe it? This past month has been a whirlwind, but I can’t wait for the new year. Check out what I’ve been up to this past month:
Watching
I’ve been binging RuPaul’s Drag Race on Netflix and watching Vanderpump Rules and Real Housewives of New Jersey on tv. Guys, I’m so obsessed with #PumpRules. During last week’s episode, my husband walked upstairs and saw a clip of Jax and Brittany’s engagement. He immaturely said “Why are they getting married? Isn’t he a total douche?” My thoughts exactly, husband.
I’ve literally watched a grand total of 0 new movies this past month. But, I’ve already watched The Holiday twice.
Listening To
Tons of Underoath, as I’m still on the high of the concert I went to a few weeks ago. It had been a long time since I attended an alternative/rock concert, and the energy was so high that I can’t wait for my next one.
I’ve also been focusing on making my own playlists on Spotify, my first being this slow songs list.
Eating
Christmas baking, because I’m terrible and like to eat what I should be saving for Christmas. I tried this shortbread recipe for the first time and it’s amazing.
Shopping For
Obviously this past month has been all about Christmas shopping and honestly, I didn’t kill it like I usually do. I just finished my shopping this week (December 19th) and I hate it so much. Next year I’m going back to starting my shopping in July.
I also finally got around to purchasing these farmhouse style shelf brackets from Hobby Lobby for some huge shelves I’ll be building next year. I can’t wait to share them!
Doing
Besides baking and shopping endlessly, I’ve been planning my new year goals and reviewing my 2018 progress.
At the end of every week, month, and especially year, I like to take a look at my goals and reflect on what I’ve accomplished. It sounds ridiculously cheesy, but this is what keeps me going in life. I need to see my accomplishments on paper to really understand that I’ve had a good year.
Thinking
A lot about personal development. I have a terrible habit of making every single one of my goals a tangible one – home upgrades, blog stats, etc. What I’ve been learning more lately is that I need to work on internal personal development on top of those things.
Planning
My 2019 – duh! I’ve got separate lists for projects, family, and personal development. I know some people think it’s excessive, but lists truly do motivate me.
My 2019 resolutions and goals will be posted next week!
What are you up to this month?
