Every time I start to write one of these, I realize how much life changes from month-to-month. Life is crazy, and I’m so glad I have a place to share everything I love.
Check out what I’ve been up to this past month.
Watching
In the last month, Chris and I finished both The Circle and Love is Blind on Netflix. I’m especially loving all the gossip surrounding Love is Blind, especially Jessica.
Of course, I’ve also been watching my regulars – Siesta Key, Vanderpump Rules, and RHONJ. I’m a sucker for drama.
Listening To
I’ve been listening to a ton of Billie Eilish in order to prepare for the concert Holly and I will be attending in 2 weeks. She is so incredibly excited. Visit my Instagram to see the amazing video of her reaction to getting the tickets.
Otherwise, I’ve been in a weird space with new music. Tik Tok songs seem to have taken over the charts and my kids are obsessed, so that’s what been playing constantly.
Current favourite song to play on repeat: 6 Months – John K
Eating
It’s Cadbury Creme Egg Mcflurry season!!! It’s my favourite seasonal food and I’m going to eat as many as I possibly can. Don’t judge me.
Shopping For
Once a year, I have a moment where all of my jeans are either worn out or don’t fit anymore. This is when I visit the Old Navy website daily and wait for jeans to go on sale for less than $15. Old Navy jeans are my absolute favourite – you can order multiple sizes online, try them on at home, and return what you don’t want to the store. The sales change every single day and you can also use Shopper Army for cash back on your purchase.
Beyond that, my money has been going towards home renovations. We just finished changing the last of the original interior doors (which cost a pretty penny) and there’s more to come.
Doing
It’s been such a fantastic month, the most exciting part being Holly’s 11th birthday. Because she had a hockey tournament on her birthday weekend, we decided to keep it super low key and spend time with family. I made her a Billie Eilish cake and finally, after 4 months of holding them, got to give her concert tickets to see Billie on tour! She lost her mind in the best possible way and I’m so excited to experience it with her.
We’re also winding down our first official hockey season. It seems our current level of busyness is coming to an end and I’m looking forward to it.
Thinking
In February, Chris took a 2 week business trip to Mexico. It was the longest we had ever been apart and my first time really having to do everything (school, work, hockey, home, etc.) completely by myself. Towards the end of the trip, I had a moment where I realized how strong I am, and that feeling has stuck with me.
I wrote about it in this Instagram post, and I thought a lot about how I needed the time alone to realize it is possible to balance everything. It’s a very reassuring feeling.
Planning
We’ve got some huge plans on the horizon and I can’t wait to share them. I’m crazy excited because in the next few months, I’ll be checking 2 things off my bucket list and also watching our home undergo a very long-awaited change. I’m beyond excited for life in general right now. It’s the best feeling!
