It’s November! Where is the time going? Here in Canada we had Thanksgiving last month, so when Halloween and Remembrance day passed, I moved right into the Christmas season. This tends to be the busiest time of year for most people, so check out what I’ve been up to this past month:
Watching
I went to see a Star is Born twice in the theater since my last post and I was absolutely blown away. I highly recommend seeing it! I’m hoping to make it to the theater again next week to check out Bohemian Rhapsody as well.
I’m currently watching Real Housewives of Dallas, New Jersey, and Orange County (I know – that’s a lot of drama!), This is Us, and Dynasty on Netflix. I need to catch up on Riverdale next.
Listening To
Since before I even saw the movie, the a Star is Born soundtrack has been on repeat in our house. “Always Remember Us This Way” is my favourite. Also, who knew Bradley Cooper could sing!?
Like the rest of the world, I’m obsessing over Ariana’s latest release “Thank U, Next”. I’ve also been reviving my love for Underoath as I’ll be seeing them in concert in just a few weeks.
Eating
Tons of crock pot meals and casseroles. I love all the hearty meals I get to cook in the Fall/Winter months. I made this cheesy chicken biscuit bake last month and added rice to the recipe – it was a massive hit with everyone.
Shopping For
I managed to get an amazing deal on new tires for our van by buying them used! I know a lot of people are weary about buying used tires, but you just have to know what you’re looking for. We managed to get 4 tires with 95% tread remaining for $250 installed. We would have spent at least $600 new.
Beyond that, Christmas shopping is in full effect. I’m placing Amazon orders like it’s going out of style. Make sure you’re checking the daily deals!! I just grabbed this Melissa and Doug chore chart for $10.
Doing
I know half of you are going to think I’m insane, but we put up out Christmas tree and decorated the entire house this weekend! I just couldn’t wait any longer.
I’ve been lacking on starting any new projects until after Christmas for financial reasons, but I did go ahead and order these farmhouse shelf brackets from Hobby Lobby for our dining room. I’ve wanted them for so long!
Finally, today is my son’s 4th birthday! We have no real plans, which is nice. Just cake and dinner and family time.
Thinking
About shaking up my life. I haven’t quite pin pointed just how yet, but with the new year coming fast it’s been on my mind. Everything in our lives has been so stable that I’m ready to start a new adventure. Let’s see what I come up with for 2019.
Planning
Projects to take on after Christmas as well as new year goals. It seems early, but the next month will fly by and I want to be prepared. I still need to find my 2019 planner! I’ve also been trying hard to plan out my posts here for the next few months. Go me!
