Can you believe we’re already into the Fall/Halloween season? I swear post-pandemic life feels like it’s zooming by. I haven’t been too committed to making new Halloween decor this year, but I did manage to whip up a few items that I’m excited to share.

My favourite place to begin DIY projects is Dollarama, which is where I found these wooden frames for $4 each. I grabbed a few different sizes and stained them using some leftovers I had at home from previous projects. When staining these inexpensive wooden frames, I always use a wood conditioner first to help even out the coverage.
When the stain fully dried, I secured painters tape to the inner edges of the frames and painted the back boards black and white for depth. This could also be done with paper or vinyl if you plan to remove the design and re-use the frames.
I had seen sets of coordinating signs somewhere on Instagram years ago and loved the idea. I searched around online for templates, but in the end decided to make my own designs. It took me a while to get the hang of it, but I successfully created a set that uploads to Cricut Design Space perfectly. I resized them to fit my signs and finished the rest with my Cricut. I love the way the drop down spider sits behind the Salem Broom Co. sign!
These Halloween sign files are available for free instant download using the button below! I have included both the originals and versions with transparent background.
I absolutely love how these signs turned out, and I hope you love the free Halloween sign download! Right now I have them displayed on my entry table (which I built myself – see the post here!), but I might use the designs again to create some wall hangings or t-shirts.
Gosh, I love seasonal decor! Do you decorate for Fall, Halloween, or both?
