It’s been a while since I’ve shared an empties post, but this time I’ve got some good product finds! There were no products I hated in this bunch, but a few I absolutely loved.
Here are 5 of my most recent empties.
Review Key: Horrible, Not Good, Just OK, Good, Great, Amazing
1. Batiste Dry Shampoo in Blush– Amazing
I’ve tried at least 10 different dry shampoos, and Batiste has always remained #1. They sell several varieties of this product, but the blush is my absolute favourite. Not only does it work incredibly well at soaking up grease and renewing my hair, it smells floral and feminine all day. It also helps that the can is pink! You can find it on Amazon.com here and Amazon.ca here.
2. CoverGirl Outlast 3 in 1 Stay Fabulous Foundation – Just OK
I liked this foundation, but I didn’t love it. I was able to match my shade pretty well and the coverage was good, but I think the sunscreen made it a bit too heavy for me. It seems to be a little too greasy for my skin, and therefor moved throughout the day. There are much better drugstore foundations in my opinion. You can find this product on Amazon.ca here, but I’m unsure if it’s available in the US.
3. Calgon Bath Fizzies in Lavender and Honey – Great
These bath bombs sell for such an amazing price that they’re hard to resist. For under $10 Canadian, you get 8 bombs. Although they are significantly smaller than LUSH bombs (my favourite), the price is just unbeatable. They fizz really well, feel great on the skin, and have a light and calming scent. If you don’t require fancy colours and foam in your bath, I highly suggest saving a few dollars and trying these. They’re available on Amazon.com as well as Amazon.ca.
4. Aveeno Absolutely Ageless Leave On Mask – Amazing
Although this product is called a “leave on mask”, I used it as my daily moisturizer and absolutely loved it. It’s extremely light but very moisturizing – exactly what I look for in a moisturizer. I noticed a visible “glow” on my face, and even though it has a lovely light fragrance it didn’t irritate my skin at all. We love a good Aveeno product! Available on Amazon.com and Amazon.ca.
5. Garnier SkinActive Micellar Water– Amazing
This was my very first go with a cleansing or “micellar” water, and I’ve fallen in love. Now that I’ve tried a few different brands, I’ll always come back to this one. At night I use my normal makeup wipes and follow up with this water. It removes any extra dirt or makeup like a charm! Unlike others I’ve tried, this water didn’t cause any breakouts or drying of the skin. I’m obsessed! I purchased a mega sized bottle at Costco and will continue to use it every night, but you can get yours on both Amazon.com and Amazon.ca.
