Last weekend we threw Holly her very first real birthday party. By “real” I mean not just family – We had 13 of her school friends over and thew an awesome Emoji birthday party. It was super fun, and I managed to do it without spending a lot.
Here are the details of Holly’s emoji birthday party!
Holly’s awesome emoji dress is from The Children’s Place. Her bright yellow tights were a #WinnersFabFind for only $2. Brooke’s emoji t-shirt was also found at Winners. Emoji themed clothing is becoming fairly popular, so why not match them to the party theme? The cake and cupcakes were surprisingly easy to make. Besides cake and icing, all I needed was sprinkles and a half batch of marshmallow fondant to make the details. I did think that rolling an 8″ cake in sprinkles would be easier than it actually was. I’m shocked at how good they turned out! As for decor, it turns out that our local Canadian party stores don’t carry anything Emoji. Luckily, I checked Amazon and hit the jackpot. The prices are amazing.
I wish I had taken more photos of the decorations and details,
