I’ve been dealing with this desktop for the last three years. The same photo and the same messy layout. Why? I have no idea. I’ve just never taken the time to go through all of the files (mostly screenshots and school documents) or change the photo. To make it easier, I made my own free ombre desktop background.

Yesterday, while doing my usual blog reading, I came across this post and fell in love with the way the desktop photo organized the files. I actually downloaded the file available in that post, but realized it didn’t work for me as I didn’t need a “read” or “work” section on my desktop. So basically, I decided to take it upon myself to make my own.
Et voila!
I stayed consistent with my blog theme, but decided to go ombre (who doesn’t love a pink ombre?). After deciding on three columns and the ombre theme, it probably took me about 15 minutes to make this on the Mac program Paintbrush. Totally worth it.
It’s super simple, and maybe a little rushed, but it’s all I need. I may take the time to make a fancier one eventually, but right now, my desktop looks fantastic.
