Last year, I posted about my experiences with ordering from SHEIN in Canada and I got the most amazing feedback! So many of you reached out with questions, and it made me realize that I haven’t shared enough. Ordering from SHEIN is a somewhat controversial subject, but for frugal-find seekers like myself, it’s an absolute thrill. With a huge selection (of just about everything) for prices cheaper than the dollar store, I can’t help myself.
This post is in no way sponsored, these are just genuinely some of my favourite SHEIN finds under $5 CAD!
When I’m bored late at night (hello blue light keeping me awake), my favourite thing to do is scour the Internet for cheap stuff. SHEIN just happens to be my current favourite place to do that. I’ve found a ton of awesome stuff, but be warned – it can get addicting. If you choose to get lost in the app, make sure you spend responsibly (even cheap items add up fast!).
There are endless amazing SHEIN finds under $5, but these are my 10 current favourites.
*Don’t forget to use a coupon code when ordering!*
1. Liquid eyeliner pen with wing stamp – $4.99 CAD
This is my most re-purchased item from SHEIN by a long shot. Not only is the eyeliner itself amazing (no bleeding, very easy to use, waterproof), the wing stamp is the best – I’ve never had a crispier wing. Watch for sales, because this eyeliner drops in price often.
2. Shower hair catcher – $1 CAD
For us long haired girlies, this is necessary to avoid the dreaded task of pulling hair from the shower drain. The original “Tub Shroom” still sells for $15 on Amazon, so this is a steal at $1.
3. Hair rollers – $4.99 CAD
Exactly the same quality as other stores for half the price. These rollers are a staple in my hair routine now thanks to TikTok tutorials, and they come in several sizes for a similar price.
4. Foundation brush – $2 CAD
The makeup brushes on SHEIN have really surprised me. I received my first one as a “free gift” on a large order, and it completely swayed me into buying more. I grabbed this foundation brush with my last order, and it’s just as good (if not better) than similar brushes I’ve purchased for 5x the price.
5. Eyelash glue – $4.49 CAD
This glue comes in both clear and black. It holds well and I really love the thin application brush. This is another popular SHEIN beauty item that drops in price often, so keep your eyes peeled for sales.
6. 4pc hair dye tool set – $2 CAD
This is my go-to set for dying my kids’ hair. Compared to beauty supply stores, this is an absolute bargain for a bowl and 3 combs. If you’ve never explored this side of SHEIN before, you’ll be shocked by just how many tools are available for under $5.
7. Oversized silky hair bow – $1 CAD
I’ve been obsessed with hair bows since I was a teenager (thanks Lady Gaga) and SHEIN’s bow selection blew me away. I own every colour of this specific bow!
8. 15pc tongue barbell set – $3 CAD
It’s always been a mystery to me why body jewelry is so expensive. I searched high and low for clear plastic tongue barbells for months, refusing to pay $15 for 3 at Spencer’s or Ardene. One day it hit me to check SHEIN, and I was thrilled to see the massive selection they had.
9. 100pcs disposable piping bags – $3 CAD
As someone who loves to decorate cakes, I fly through piping bags (and they aren’t cheap at places like Michael’s or Bulk Barn). These bags are tough enough to handle thick icing and they make cleanup super easy!
10. Acne patches – $1 CAD
If you’re spending $10+ on acne patches, stop immediately. These do exactly the same thing as the expensive ones do for a fraction of the cost. I always keep a sheet handy!
