Can you believe it’s 2019? I took two weeks off to enjoy the holiday break, but it seriously feels like a lifetime.
If you know me, you know that my planner is my life. It contains every appointment, task, goal, and event in my life coupled with cute stickers and fun notes. I write in it every single day and couldn’t live without it. Some people find it easier to use their phone or simply keep it all in their head, but my planner allows me to see the bigger picture, stay focused, and feel accomplished.
With that said, this year I switched things up and went in a new planner direction. Scroll down to see my 2019 Planner!
Say hello to the Happy Planner Girl Super Mom planner!
For the past 3 years, I’ve been stuck on using Recollections creative year planners (You can see my gorgeous 2018 unicorn planner here). When I visited Michael’s to hunt for the perfect 2019 planner, I had the idea in mind that I wanted the exact same horizontal layout planner again – just with a new cover!
I spent half an hour scouring the Recollections planners only to be sorely dissapointed. There wasn’t a single planner cover that appealed to me. It sounds silly, but the cover of a planner can set the entire tone for planning. I could have cried.
Just as I was walking out of the store wondering where I was going to search for a new planner (online? Indigo?), I saw a stand for The Happy Planner. There were stacks on stacks of planners, but I wasn’t sold on any of the layouts – until I found this one.
The Super Mom planner is available at Michaels here and on Amazon here. Coordinating accessories can be found not only at Michaels and Amazon, but also at Hobby Lobby and the Happy Planner website.
One of things I was weary about were the Happy Planner’s signature binding discs. Although this specific version comes with pink heart deluxe metal discs (so cute), I was worried. How hard is it to turn the pages? Do pages become loose and fall out?
My fears were completely diminished the second I started using it. Honestly, the discs are genius. Papers don’t become loose or fall out, the pages are extremely easy to turn, and the best part? You can add pages!! This planner has tons of add ins (scroll down to see what I’ve purchased so far). You can even buy a special hole punch for adding your own pages. The possibilities are endless.
The planner has super sturdy tabs and fun quotes and photos throughout. It’s so colourful and uplifting.
For me personally, the best part of this planner is how it specifically caters to #momlife. There are several versions of The Happy Planner that appeal to all types of people, but this one seems to fit my needs to a tee.
The super mom planner has an area for monthly goals, to-dos, and priorities, but the absolute best part of this layout is the weekly dashboard. The weekly layout is so perfect that I couldn’t have designed it better myself.
On top of having a space for each day, there are specific areas for
- Errands
- Things to buy
- Calls/Emails to make
- Bills to pay
- Focus for the week
- Meal planning
I’ve been cramming all of my weekly tasks into the “notes” section of other planners, so this blew my mind. Everything is sorted so perfectly.
The planner itself came with some extra pages for notes, etc. but I’m a list maker my nature, so I decided to pick up some extra pages. This set comes with 40 sheets of paper (printed front and back) in 4 different designs and colours.
Unfortunately, the planner does not come with stickers included. Stickers are half the fun of planning, so I also picked up this coordinating booklet of 1657 stickers. The Happy Planner has tons of options for sticker books like this one, but I fell in love with the matching Super Mom sheets.
I couldn’t be more excited about this planner. I’m looking forward to being even more organized in 2019 (should I hop on the Tidying Up with Marie Kondo train too!?).
