Guys it’s almost Fall! I wore a hoodie for the first time last week and the joy it brought me is almost indescribable. September is a crazy busy time, but it’s my absolute favourite month.

Back at the beginning of the year, I made a promise that 2019 would be packed full of new experiences for our family. We chose to forgo birthday gifts and make it all about experiencing new things. The hardest part of this goal is that travel and big experiences can be expensive, so I went on a mission to find something new, fun, and frugal.

Living in a border city has always been such a positive for our family. Being residents of Essex County, Ontario, we’ve always gotten the best of two cities – Windsor, Ontario and Detroit, Michigan. We cross the border fairly frequently for events, food, fun, and lots of shopping.
